Brake System Controller (Drive Axle – ABS / ATC / HSA) (Cab – ABS / ATC / HSA)
Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) – Bendix EC-80 Standard

Bendix EC-80 ECU with ABS functionality, 500K baud. Available in 4S/4M, 6S/5M or 6S/6M configuration depending on axle configuration.

  • 4S/4M — single axle and some tandem axle trucks
  • 6S/5M — some tandem axle trucks and single axle trucks with pusher or tag axles
  • 6S/6M — tandem axle trucks and trucks with pusher or tag axles
Note: 4S/4M utilized on single axle and some tandem axle trucks; 6S/5M utilized on some tandem axle trucks and single axle trucks with pusher or tag axles; 6S/6M utilized on tandem axle trucks and trucks with pusher or tag axles.
ABS and Automatic Traction Control (ATC) Optional

Bendix EC-80 Premium ECU with ABS & ATC functionality, 500K baud. Available in 4S/4M, 6S/5M or 6S/6M configuration.

ABS / ATC and Electronic Stability Control (ESC) Optional

Drum Style Standard

Dana/Spicer "ES" brakes with fabricated shoes and cast spider brackets, MGM brake chambers, Haldex auto slack adjusters, inspection hole with rubber plug in dust shield, ABS sensor.

Disc Style Optional

On Dana axles: Bendix ADB22X brakes, Bendix brake chambers, automatic brake adjustment, ABS sensor.

On Meritor axles: Meritor EX+H2 air disc brakes, MGM brake chambers, automatic brake adjustment, ABS sensor.

Steering System
Sheppard XD-120 Steering Gear Standard (Steer Axle – Power Steering)

Designed for severe duty applications, 18–23K lbs. front axle range. Max 6,568 ft-lbs. output torque, 23:1 ratio, 2.50" diameter output shaft.

Douglas Autotec Steering Column Standard (Cab – Steering Wheel LH & RH)

42° tilt range, 1-7/8" telescopic range. Combined turn signal, cruise control and lo/high beam headlight control stalk. Provisions to support horn activation in steering wheel.

VIP 18" Dia., 2-Spoke Soft Grip Standard

18" outside diameter integral-skin polyurethane foam molded rim, black powder coated spokes, center black horn button with Battle logo.

16" outside diameter integral-skin polyurethane foam molded rim, black powder coated spokes, center black horn button with Battle logo.

Steering / Driver Positions (Model – Drive Type)
Left-Hand Drive, Sit-Down Standard

Steering, instrumentation and controls on left side only. Standard on all cab models. Variety of sit-down seating options available.

Right-Hand Drive, Sit-Down Optional

Steering, instrumentation and controls on right side only. Optional on all cab models.

Dual Drive, Left-Hand Sit-Down / Right-Hand Stand-Up Optional

Steering, instrumentation and controls on left and right side. Available on standard cab models only. Right-hand flip-up/fold-down seating limited to fabric options.

Dual Drive, Left and Right-Hand Sit Down Optional

Steering, instrumentation and controls on both sides. Available on all cab models. Left-hand and right-hand sit-down seating options available.
