CNG Fuel System
Important: All CNG fuel system installations and applications require factory engineering review and approval. All chassis equipped with CNG engines and fuel system components must be freight hauled.
DGE note: Diesel gallon equivalent (dge) capacity is calculated using industry standard “scf” of Natural Gas divided by factor 139 (an alternate factor of 129 may be used in some specifications).
CNG Fuel Tanks (Fuel – Fuel Tank)
Customer Supplied CNG Temporary Fuel Tanks Standard

Fuel tank is sourced and supplied by the customer for temporary installation at the Battle Motors factory.

Customer Supplied CNG Fuel Tanks (Permanent Installation) Optional

Customer supplied CNG fuel tanks for permanent installation. Factory engineering review and approval required for each application.

Behind-the-Cab (BTC) CNG Fuel Cabinets

Cylinders and fuel controls enclosed within cabinet. All Tanks / Storage Cylinders are Type 3 with Aluminum Liners and Carbon Fiber Over-Wrap, 3,600 psi / 250 bar. Cylinders stacked in aluminum construction cabinet mounted on top of and across the chassis frame, behind the cab. Battery box moved to right side, below cross-frame cabinet. Specify Black (std.) or White (no extra cost) powder coated aluminum outer cabinet panels. Cylinders have 20-year service life.

Notes: (1) BTC cross frame cabinet requires CA/CT by 24" (a longer wheelbase is required to maintain desired CA/CT body installation). (2) FCM is included with a BTC tank installation.
