7-micron filtration rating, 12VDC heater, water-in-fuel sensor, replaceable cartridge style filter element. Removes both water and contamination from fuel. Visual indicator of filter replacement status. (Atmus is formerly Cummins Filtration / Fleetguard.)
Rectangular plastic tank, 10-gallon capacity, 18" tall × 22.5" deep × 8" wide. Mounted with 12" wide bands, 38" from centerline of front axle to back of tank, right/curb side. Mounted flush with frame rail. Features:
- Magnetic lock-ring in filler neck
- Coolant heaters to keep DEF from freezing
- Electrically heated DEF fluid lines
- DEF low level light bar integrated in fuel gauge
Not required for CNG applications.
Mounted on LH rail, same location as RH tank.
Installed between DEF tank and frame; spaces tank 3/8" from frame and 5" lower than stock position.
Fuel tank is sourced and supplied by the customer for temporary installation at the Battle Motors factory.
Customer supplied CNG fuel tanks for permanent installation. Factory engineering review and approval required for each application.
Cylinders and fuel controls enclosed within cabinet. All Tanks / Storage Cylinders are Type 3 with Aluminum Liners and Carbon Fiber Over-Wrap, 3,600 psi / 250 bar. Cylinders stacked in aluminum construction cabinet mounted on top of and across the chassis frame, behind the cab. Battery box moved to right side, below cross-frame cabinet. Specify Black (std.) or White (no extra cost) powder coated aluminum outer cabinet panels. Cylinders have 20-year service life.
