This year’s edition of the Advanced Clean Transportation Expo (ACT Expo) will be the setting for the highly anticipated reveals of several heavy-duty Zero Emission Vehicle (ZEV) vocational trucks newly off Battle Motors’ assembly lines. The vehicles will be showcased at the ACT Expo in Anaheim, California May 2-4 at Booth 6778.
“The ACT Expo offers an exceptional arena of clean tech thought-leadership, making it the ideal venue to present our innovative BEV trucks which are category leaders in their own right,” said Battle Motors CEO, Michael Patterson. “We’re putting transportation’s transition to zero emissions into overdrive, and our vehicles on display at the show are real-world examples of how we’re succeeding.”
One of the trucks to be featured is the Battle Motors LNT (Low Narrow Tilt) EV stake bed truck, notable for an operating range of up to 150 miles, a two-hour (Level III) full-charging cycle, a 500 hp BorgWarner Cascadia Motion motor, ePTO functions, and a top speed of 70 mph. Also on-hand will be Elgin Sweeper’s Electric Broom Bear, a first-in-class truck-mounted sweeper built on a Battle Motors’ all-electric chassis.
Thanks to the vehicles’ leading-edge BEV technology, both trucks boast advantages such as reduced maintenance costs, fuel-free operations, eligibility for financial incentives and putting operators on track to meet government requirements. But as Battle Motors builds, they also level-up with best-in-class features, including the full integration of advanced systems.
A case in point is the company’s secure digital dash system, which is powered by RevolutionOS™, a proprietary API which fuses analytics with operations like real-time routing and messaging to smartly manage the vehicle and deliver rich decision-making data. Road-tested and fully compatible with other platforms, this groundbreaking solution benefits both drivers and fleet managers with enhanced safety, efficiency, and security.
Beyond the showroom, owners and operators benefit from Battle Motors’ extensive, highly trained dealer network, all backed by an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) fully committed to operations up-time and a robust, US-based supply chain.
With a 76-year legacy in the vocational vehicle sector, the company formerly known as Crane Carrier Company, is no newcomer to purpose-built trucks. But its transition to manufacturing BEV chassis for multiple applications has been swift and assertive, marked by the near tripling in size of its New Philadelphia, Ohio factory last year to add new fabrication capacity and the doubling of unit production for two consecutive years.
