Battle Motors is ready to roll into New Orleans for WasteExpo coming off its second consecutive year of doubling production numbers. At America’s largest trade show dedicated to solid waste, recycling and organics, Battle Motors will be proudly displaying its built-in-the-USA trucks and related technology May 2 to 4 at Booth 4247.
The Ohio-based company is distinguishing itself by disrupting the vocational vehicle space—most notably with its Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) refuse and recycling trucks—while simultaneously rebooting an entire region of America’s industrial heartland through bold initiatives and ambitious production targets. No newcomer to the industry, Battle Motors is building this momentum upon decades of design and engineering expertise thanks to its 2021 acquisition of heavy-duty truck manufacturer Crane Carrier Company.
“Given the hyper-competitive nature of this industry and the major transitions underway, we’re very proud of the fact that Battle Motors has opened a new lane as a true innovator and solutions provider,” said Battle Motors CEO, Michael Patterson. “The trucks we’re showing at WasteExpo may have different power trains, but every chassis is best-in-class and features options like ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), flatscreens and real-time data networks that are the reason we are reshaping the industry.”
In the case of the waste industry, typical routes are not extensive—averaging 100 miles per day—with the Battle Motors EV trucks returning to the yard and chargers at the end of each day.
Demonstrating Battle Motors’ role as a changemaker in the refuse space, two of the trucks on display at New Orlean’s Morial Convention Center are fully electric:

Enabling the aggressive growth of the tech-driven company, Battle Motors completed a massive $40 million expansion of its manufacturing capacity last year at its New Philadelphia, Ohio plant, nearly tripling its overall footprint from 125,000 to 325,000-square feet. New fabrication capacity was coupled with advanced systems integrations which now include the company’s secure digital dash system, the Battle Board. Powered by RevolutionOS, a proprietary API which fuses analytics with operations like real-time routing and messaging, the platform is designed to smartly manage the vehicle and deliver rich decision-making data. Road-tested and fully compatible with third-party platforms, this groundbreaking solution set benefits both drivers and fleet managers with enhanced safety, efficiency, and security.
