Aftermarket Operations Specialist

General Summary

Responsible to analyze data to support Aftermarket performance opportunities and work with the team to provide key statistical insights for customer parts sales, margins, and inventory levels. Work cross-departmentally to optimize processes and procedures to achieve maximum efficiency and ensure deliverables are met. Must be committed to improving customer experiences and ensuring operational efficiency. Responsible for assisting in developing Aftermarket marketing campaigns, parts sales initiatives and improving our competitive position by determining and meeting customer requirements to achieve the desired financial results.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responsible to analyze data to support Aftermarket performance to achieve maximum efficiency and ensure deliverables are met
  • Coordinate with Aftermarket teams to develop and implement a clearly defined parts strategy, including market      methodologies, stocking, delivery, and price
  • Ensure that Aftermarket strategies and programs are in alignment with Sales, Product Management, Engineering and Manufacturing to meet/exceed customer requirements 
  • Responsible for E-Commerce management, planning/forecasting, and Aftermarket product management 
  • Create, revise, and maintain Aftermarket E-Commerce parts price lists to ensure on-going and increasing profitability
  • Perform analysis for Aftermarket cost and margin performance reporting
  • Develop the Aftermarket Operations Market Feedback Analysis (MFA) strategy, support the action planning processes and the development of our Dealer network
  • Work with vendors to develop required Bill of Materials breakdowns for Aftermarket parts and assign Battle Motors part      numbers, as required 
  • Develop and create Aftermarket recommended spare parts lists for Battle Motors customer catalogs for new and existing units      in service
  • Track and report on operational performance & KPIs
  • Work with Manufacturing to maintain required inventory levels
  • Coordinate with Regional Sales Managers, Marketing, and Director of Aftermarket Parts to develop specific parts campaigns,      flyers, newsletters, and workshops
  • Work with the Director of Aftermarket to prepare annual budget and forecasts
  • Support the creation of standard work processes for best practice sharing 
  • Develop continuous improvement initiatives and action plans
  • Travel as required
  • Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.  

    Education Requirements

    • Associate's degree in business (Marketing or Management) or equivalent
    • Minimum of 3 years’  experience as an Operations Specialist or in a similar role 

    Job Knowledge Requirements

    • Ability to analyze and improve operational processes
    • Experience working with large data sets
    • Experience with Excel: pivot tables, V-lookups, If-Statements
    • Prior work experience using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems
    • Ability to learn and understand the products’ capabilities and marketplace
    • Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
    • Shows creativity plus strong problem solving and analytical skills
    • Ability to coordinate  multiple projects and responsibilities simultaneously
    • Ability to put together marketplace driven programs and implement them
    • Must be organized and follow established procedures

      Physical Requirements

      • The physical demands of the employee working in this position are considered light to medium
      • May be subject to drug and alcohol testing

      Personal Protective Equipment

      • Safety glasses required while in manufacturing areas
      • Steel toed shoes required while in manufacturing areas
      • Hearing protection where required
      • Additional PPE at customer site may be required

      Work Environment

      • The employee will work in a home office
      • The employee will travel approximately 10%-15% of the time
