Material Handler


Material Handler is responsible for various duties involving shipping, receiving, properly inventorying and transporting parts/material throughout plant.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for using fork lift to unload trucks at shipping/receiving dock or in yard
2. Picks parts and delivers/stages items in correct department
3. Operates fork lift in yard which exposes worker to weather and cold/hot temperatures
4. Frequently climbs on/off fork lift from various surfaces (i.e. concrete, gravel, dirt, uneven ground)
5. Utilizes the ERP system and Office programs to look up parts/locations and enter shipments/receipts
6. Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned


High School diploma or GED required

Training / Job Knowledge Requirements:

1. Minimum of two years experience operating lift truck in manufacturing environment or equivalent education and experience
2. Must be organized with the ability to follow established procedures and prioritize multiple work assignments
3. Must be computer literate with experience using basic programs
4. Qualified lift truck operator; willing and able to be licensed onsite
5. Must recognize the Quality Management System in place at CCC and participate in the processes and procedures

Physical Requirements:

1. The physical demands of the employee working in this position are considered medium
2. Regularly required to sit or stand, bend, stoop, and reach
3. May be subject to random drug and alcohol testing

Personal Protective Equipment:

1. Safety glasses, hearing protection and steel toed shoes required while in manufacturing areas
2. Hand protection (gloves) may be required for certain tasks
3. Employees are required to follow all COVID-19 precautions in place including, but not limited to, use of face coverings and temperature readings
