Regional Aftermarket Parts Sales Manager - Western Region

General Summary

Responsible to increase Battle Motors Aftermarket parts sales volume with existing and new dealer accounts, manage day-to-day dealer communications, coordinate with internal stakeholders to support Aftermarket parts sales. Responsible for assisting with parts sales initiatives and improving our competitive position by determining and meeting customer requirements to achieve the desired financial results.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Work directly with dealers and end users to promote the sales and business development of Aftermarket parts, upgrades, and accessories
  • Act as the primary point of contact for assigned Key Accounts, maintain, leverage, and develop relationships between end users, dealers, and Battle Motors
  • Identify, research, and contact prospective customers and build positive relationships that will generate future parts sales and repeat business
  • Responsible for market development and sales with Dealers
  • Coordinate with other Regional Sales Managers and Director of Aftermarket Parts to develop specific parts sales campaigns and other related activities
  • Cultivate a positive image of Battle Motors with customers to become the preferred vendor with their designated base
  • Manage and maintain CRM to effectively organize customer contacts and install base
  • Participate with the Director of Aftermarket Parts to prepare annual budget and forecasts
  • Track and report monthly sales performance, weekly sales reports, and forecasting
  • Participate and/or lead technology and product presentations in cooperation with sales for customers; attend trade shows and events
  • Work together with Aftermarket and Marketing group to develop customer and market specific workshops and specific training events using product presentation media (i.e., PowerPoint presentations, etc.)
  • Sales meeting preparation and participation, as needed
  • Support negotiations according to company guidelines
  • Travel as required
  • Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned  

    Education Requirements

    • Associate's degree in Business (Marketing or Management) or equivalent preferred
    • Minimum of 3 years of successful experience in direct sales and/or distributor sales of automotive products

    Job Knowledge Requirements

    • Strong knowledge of the automotive market including companies, technologies, applications and capabilities, knowledge of Crane Carrier equipment is a definite plus
    • Ability to learn and understand the products’ capabilities and marketplace
    • Strong communication, interpersonal, sales, presentation, and negotiations skills
    • Shows creativity plus strong problem solving and analytical skills
    • Ability to coordinate multiple projects and responsibilities simultaneously
    • Ability to put together marketplace driven programs and implement them
    • Must be organized and follow established procedures
    • Prior work experience using Salesforce is a plus
    • Driver’s License in good standing
    • Ability to travel frequently

      Physical Requirements

      • The physical demands of the employee working in this position are considered light to medium
      • May be subject to drug and alcohol testing

      Personal Protective Equipment

      • Safety glasses required while in manufacturing areas
      • Steel toed shoes required while in manufacturing areas
      • Hearing protection where required
      • Additional PPE at customer site may be required

      Work Environment

      • The employee will work in a home office
      • The employee will travel approximately 50%-70% of the time
