PART-TIME CONTRACT - Nonexempt (20 hours per week, 4 month contract) 

The Sales Development Representatives (“SDR”) is responsible for qualifying both inbound and outbound sales leads at the initial stages in the sales funnel. They must research potential clients, connect with and educate prospects before handing them off to the closers of the sales team. The SDR will take direction regarding customer type and weekly initiatives and will execute the initiatives consistent with Lead Generation standard procedure.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

  • 0-50 calls per day & 20-30 emails per day 
  • Follow-up on inbound marketing leads by identifying qualified opportunities with appropriate levels of information at the right time for interested prospects 
  • Communicate with and review visitors on the website while distributing them to the appropriate Regional Sales Manager 
  • Be responsible for educating and developing prospects leading to hand-off to sales teams 
  • Cold call prospects generated by variety of outside sources 
  • Identify key players, researching and obtaining business requirements, and presenting solutions to begin sales cycle 
  • Profile strategic accounts identifying key individuals, research and obtain business requirements, then presenting solutions to start the sales cycle 
  • Set appointments for Local Sales team when a lead reaches a qualified stage 
  • Nurture new marketing leads by educating and developing prospects until they are ready to speak with a field sales rep 
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing team members on strategic sales approach 
  • Ensure successful follow through of sales cycle by maintaining accurate activity and lead qualification information in CRM application 
  • Other duties as assigned

Education  Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required

Training Requirements

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. 
  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills. 
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment. 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. 
  • Must have knowledge of the HubSpot platform
  • Must possess accurate keyboard skills. 
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks efficiently and accurately.
  • Confidentiality a must.

  • Following established procedures, must have ability to prioritize several simultaneous projects.
  • Must be able to work with people in all levels of the organization.
  • Must keep current on new product development
  • Recognize the Quality Management System in place at Battle Motors and participate in the processes and procedures of the QMS. 

This position will adhere to the Battle Motors Environmental Health and Safety Program by following all safety rules, procedures, practices, training, and safe use of equipment; this includes use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. This individual will work in a way that stresses the importance of preventing injury, accidents, or illnesses to themselves or co-workers by correcting or reporting unsafe situations, incidents, or occurrences to their Supervisor immediately.
