Responsibilities
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for escalated IT issues, including hardware, software, networking, and infrastructure components.
- Act as a point of escalation for Level 1 support technicians, providing guidance, assistance, and mentoring as needed.
- Perform in-depth analysis and diagnosis of complex IT problems, utilizing a systematic approach to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
- Install, configure, and maintain IT systems, servers, networks, and applications to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with internal teams and third-party vendors to resolve technical issues and implement solutions in a timely manner.
- Document all support activities, solutions, and configurations accurately and thoroughly in the ticketing system.
- Proactively identify opportunities for improvement in IT systems, processes, and procedures, and recommend and implement enhancements.
- Participate in project planning and implementation, including system upgrades, migrations, and deployments.
- Provide technical guidance and training to end-users and junior support staff as needed.
Qualifications
- BS/BA in a related field or equivalent work experience in a Level 2 or Level 3 IT support role
- Strong technical proficiency in troubleshooting and supporting Windows and/or Linux operating systems, Microsoft Office 365, Active Directory, Exchange Server, and other common enterprise technologies.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, ESXI, cloud computing (AWS, Azure), and networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPN).
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA), or equivalent are a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical users.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Commitment to providing outstanding customer service and exceeding client expectations.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, or on-call shifts as needed.
This position will adhere to the Battle Motors Environmental Health and Safety Program by following all safety rules, procedures, practices, training, and safe use of equipment; this includes use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
