Service Technician – Southwest

Responsible for managing the technical service and support within the region and ensuring that the dealer technicians and customers receive timely and quality service and support. The Technical Service Manager oversees the technical service activities, resources, and policies within the region and ensures that the technical issues and inquiries are resolved effectively and efficiently.

Required to travel to customer and dealer sites to assist their technicians with diagnosing and repairing Battle Motors truck. You will also frequently train service personnel at customer and dealer locations on how to repair electric, diesel and CNG trucks.

  • Manage the technical service and support within a specific region and ensure that the dealer technicians and customers receive timely and quality service and support
  • Oversee the technical service activities, resources, and policies within the region
  • Ensure that the technical issues and inquiries are resolved effectively and efficiently
  • Supervise, coach, and develop the Technical Service Representatives and their teams
  • Evaluate and improve the technical service processes and procedures within the region and implement best practices and initiatives
  • Monitor and report on the technical service metrics and performance within the region and take corrective actions as needed
  • Collaborate and communicate with other regions and departments
  • Support the Regional Service Manager in managing and coordinating the technical service operations
  • Stay updated on the technical trends, best practices, and customer needs 

Requirements

  • Associates degree required. 
  • Technical School Certification in automotive or diesel technology preferred.
  • At least five years experience as an automotive, diesel, or heavy equipment technician
  • Strong knowledge and abilities to diagnose and repair electrical systems.
  • Strong knowledge of technical service operations, processes, and standards
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Technical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Customer-oriented, results-driven, and collaborative mindset
  • Ability to travel frequently and work under pressure 
  • Ability to work without supervision and manage time accordingly.  

This position will adhere to the Battle Motors Environmental Health and Safety Program by following all safety rules, procedures, practices, training, and safe use of equipment; this includes use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. This individual will work in a way that stresses the importance of preventing injury, accidents, or illnesses to themselves or co-workers by correcting or reporting unsafe situations, incidents, or occurrences to their supervisor immediately.
