Position Overview

Provide leadership and support to a designated area. Responsible for performance of group of employees for safety, quality, delivery, cost, and morale.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Perform team huddle meetings.
  • Ensure PPE adherence.
  • Understand status of WIP levels, downtime, and delivery requirements.
  • Develop training plan and support training requirements.
  • Review defect reports with team members and implement containments and countermeasures.
  • Update team shop floor management board.
  • Collaborate with department leads for talent management and continuity of production.
  • Ensure Quality Gates are in place and followed.
  • Review TPM schedule for any discrepancies and issues.
  • Review option content for next day’s build.
  • Support continuous improvement (Kaizen).
  • Complete process audits.
  • Confirm early/late OT requirements with Supervisor.
  • Verify 5S and housekeeping activities and action items are being completed.
  • Update all daily metrics for following shifts huddle review.
  • Support standard work, line balancing, work instruction development.
  • First point of contact for Engineering, Materials, Facilities, and Quality support.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Training and Job knowledge Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Must possess effective communication & organizational skills.
  • Ability to work and adapt in a high performance, fast-paced team environment required.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills required.
  • Recognize the Quality Management System in place and participate in the processes and procedures in the QMS ISO 9001:2015.

This position will adhere to the Battle Motors Environmental Health and Safety Program by following all safety rules, procedures, practices, training, and safe use of equipment; this includes use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. This individual will work in a way that stresses the importance of preventing injury, accidents, or illnesses to themselves or co-workers by correcting or reporting unsafe situations, incidents, or occurrences to their Supervisor immediately.
