The Strategic Sourcing Specialist at Battle Motors plays a pivotal role in sourcing new products and programs, requiring expertise in global supply chain management, negotiation, and problem-solving. This position demands effective leadership to collaborate with cross-functional teams, drive positive change, and ensure the successful launch of new products. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Track global trends to anticipate supply chain impacts and facilitate continuous improvements.
  • Lead sourcing efforts aligned with program objectives, identifying new suppliers and technologies.
  • Cultivate strategic relationships with suppliers, optimizing contracts for Battle Motors' benefit.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, providing clear communication on sourcing decisions.
  • Deliver comprehensive reports to executive leadership on costs, budgets, and sourcing activities.
  • Partner with the finance team on cost reduction initiatives, ensuring targets are met.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Materials Management, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in commodity management or strategic sourcing.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Strong decision-making, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to drive improvement collaboratively and manage multiple tasks effectively.

This position will adhere to the Battle Motors Environmental Health and Safety Program by following all safety rules, procedures, practices, training, and safe use of equipment; this includes use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. This individual will work in a way that stresses the importance of preventing injury, accidents, or illnesses to themselves or co-workers by correcting or reporting unsafe situations, incidents, or occurrences to their supervisor immediately.
