System Engineer - ADAS

We’re currently searching for an ADAS Engineer to join our team, help us grow and scale and continue our tradition of success. 

As a System Engineer on our team, you will be responsible for leading the development of various ADAS features including functional architecture & decomposition, requirement authoring and allocation, traceability, compliance, and end-to-end verification and validation. 

Role and Responsibilities

  • The Systems Engineer (SE) is a lead position who is responsible for the technical integrity, quality, and on-time delivery of their feature
  • The System Engineer duties include the development of functional architecture & decomposition, system/feature requirements, design, integration, and test
  • The SE is responsible for the planning, preparation, and execution of all design related gate reviews with support from component and software engineers
  • Provides Systems Engineering leadership to the other functional areas
  • Responsible for all SE feature planning on the project including test and verification plan 
  • Design and develop the feature architecture, interfaces, and design including commonality considerations
  • Ensure the system, subsystem, and component interfaces are maintained
  • Responsible for adherence to compliance requirements (ISO26262/ASIL, FMVSS, etc.)
  • Identify, define, and manage power, data, and other system interfaces; manage power and network bandwidth allocations for vehicle functions
  • Decompose system performance and verification requirements and develop design verification plans & reports
  • Ensure the design has been fully defined, traceable, and validated during testing down to the components and software
  • Define and execute system and subsystem integration, test, and verification plans on BB/HIL/SIL/Vehicle

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline (e.g., engineering, math, physics) with a minimum 5 years of applicable experience, fewer years required with an advanced degree
  • Strong skills in system/subsystem requirements development, design, and test
  • Ability to develop a system model within SysML tools (e.g., MagicDraw, Rhapsody, Visio)
  • Must be able to conduct and write test procedures & reports
  • Highly motivated performer
  • Ability to make decisions in a fast-paced dynamic environment
  • Must be able to work occasional evening and/or weekend overtime as required
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills is required
  • Able to work in office, shop, test lab, test site environments, and in vehicles
  • Hands-on experience in development of automotive electrical system and hardware

Preferred Experience and Skills

  • Experience with Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) and the ability to lead the development of MBSE implementation
  • Knowledge of high-voltage and low-voltage electrical system design, safety, EMI, EMC, HVIL
  • Understanding of high voltage energy storage and charge systems for EVs

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

  • May be subject to random drug and alcohol testing

Personal Protective Equipment

  • Safety glasses and steel-toed shoes and hearing protection (as necessary) required in manufacturing areas
