Training and Development Manager

Responsible for supporting training initiatives and administrative duties related to internal and external training platforms. Oversee and create employee development and successions plans, support HR platform integrations and manage those systems, and ensure compliance with record retention policies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with department heads to align training programs with organizational objectives.
  • Support the assessment of training needs across various departments and create tailored training plans for individual employees
  • Identify key roles within the organization and develop succession plans to ensure leadership continuity.
  • Support the transition of cloud-based HR software platforms, develop training materials and resources for employees to provide ongoing support and training to ensure smooth implementation.
  • Establish and maintain a record retention procedure for training documentation, both internally and externally. 
  • Assist with employee onboarding activities.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to training records.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to enhance training methodologies
  • Other duties as assigned

Education  Requirements

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree required 
  • Technical experience and knowledge of various LMS systems preferred
  • Lean workflow development and management experience

Training Requirements

  • Must be proficient in MS Office, including accurate data entry and spreadsheets. 
  • Must possess accurate keyboard skills. 
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks efficiently and accurately.
  • Confidentiality a must.
  • Strong facilitation and organizational skills required.

Job Knowledge Requirements

  • Following established procedures, must have ability to prioritize several simultaneous projects.
  • Must be able to work with people in all levels of the organization.
  • Must keep current on new product development
  • Recognize the Quality Management System in place at Battle Motors and participate in the processes and procedures of the QMS.

This position will adhere to the Battle Motors Environmental Health and Safety Program by following all safety rules, procedures, practices, training, and safe use of equipment; this includes use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. This individual will work in a way that stresses the importance of preventing injury, accidents, or illnesses to themselves or co-workers by correcting or reporting unsafe situations, incidents, or occurrences to their supervisor immediately.
