Battle Motors is a refuse truck manufacturer based in New Philadelphia, Ohio. We build the cab and chassis that garbage and recycling bodies are mounted on, and we have been building severe-service trucks since the company was founded as Crane Carrier Company in 1946.
A collection route is hard on a truck: hundreds of stops a day, constant braking, operators climbing in and out. Our chassis are engineered around that duty cycle rather than adapted from a highway tractor.
LNT: the low-entry cab.
The LNT is designed for routes with frequent stops and repeated entry and exit, which is most of the work in residential collection. Class 6, 7 and 8, up to 66,000 lbs GVWR, with an 82 inch cab, left-hand, right-hand or dual steering, and standard, bi-fold or flip doors. Diesel models run the Cummins B6.7 or L9 with an Allison transmission. A Non-CDL version keeps weight under the CDL threshold to widen your operator pool.
Raider: severe-service Class 7 and 8.
The Raider is built for the toughest refuse, construction and infrastructure work. Up to 66,000 lbs GVWR, up to 430 hp from the Cummins L9 or X12, a 94 inch cab and an available four-door crew cab. It is offered in diesel, compressed natural gas and battery electric.
Diesel, CNG or electric.
Every fleet is on a different timeline. Battle Motors offers diesel, CNG and battery electric drivetrains, so you can standardize on one cab and one parts relationship while your fuel strategy changes.
Buying for a city or county.
Battle Motors is a Sourcewell awarded vendor, so government and education agencies can purchase through a cooperative contract rather than running a separate bid. Financing is available through Battle Motors Capital.
Does Battle Motors build the whole garbage truck?
